A Day of Hope by Ros Williams – Languishing in prison post GP, Avon has decided this is at last to be the time of his death. But it is not his way to kill himself. His iron will keeps him alive and sane through torture and grim isolation as he waits for the one person who can give him the release he craves. But will she come, and if she does, will she give him that release? Yes, she comes, but although she fulfils his wish, what he learns from her is not quite what he expects, and what she says as he goes to his death may not be quite what we expect.
